In the UK 1 in 6 of the UK adult population is affected by hearing loss and around 900,000 people are severely or profoundly deaf. Many people with hearing loss also have tinnitus, affecting 1 in 10 adults. These statistics are quite staggering and catering to the requirements of any staff members with additional needs due to hearing difficulties is essential. An inclusive workplace shows an employer to be responsible and looking out for the best needs of their staff.

Commissioning A Workplace Assessment

Naturally, as a responsible employer, you will want to ensure compliance with The Equality Act 2010, but you also want to make sure your employees are well looked after and are able to maximise their potential.

Workplace Assessment Procedure

  • Our third-party consultant will be assigned the employee referral
  • An assessment appointment will be arranged within three working days of initial receipt of referral
  • Upon agreeing a convenient date with the employee, the consultant will establish the barriers they are facing
  • The consultant will assess the employee’s duties and make recommendations to maximise their effectiveness and job satisfaction
  • Upon completion, a comprehensive report will be submitted within 14 days to the relevant parties
