Modern Slavery Statement
Introduction
Back Care Solutions is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain. Although we are not legally required to publish a statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we do so voluntarily to demonstrate our commitment to ethical and responsible business practices.
Organisational Structure And Supply Chain
We work with suppliers around the world, and we recognise that the greatest potential risk of modern slavery lies within manufacturing in higher-risk countries. We actively monitor and review these risks.
Our Approach
To help prevent modern slavery, we:
- Carry out due diligence on high-risk suppliers
- Require an annual Modern Slavery Questionnaire
- Require an annual independent ethical audit for all manufacturing sites
- Expect suppliers to meet our Responsible Procurement and Supplier Code of Conduct standards
Internal Policies and Safeguards
We maintain policies supporting ethical conduct, including our Responsible Procurement Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, Anti-Bribery Policy and Right-to-Work checks. We do not use recruitment fees, and all employees have clear employment terms.
Training and Awareness
Training is provided to teams involved in procurement, HR and supplier management to help identify and escalate concerns.
Reporting Concerns
We encourage employees, suppliers and partners to report any concerns through our confidential whistleblowing channels. All reports are investigated.
Continuous Improvement
We are committed to improving our processes through ongoing supplier engagement, policy updates and staff training.
