SuperNova - Product Overview
SuperNova is a powerful assistive technology platform designed to make computers accessible for users with partial or complete vision loss. The software combines screen magnification, speech output and optional screen-reader functionality in a single solution, allowing users to choose the level of assistance that best matches their needs. With magnification levels from approximately 1 to 64 times, along with advanced text smoothing and image enhancement technologies, it keeps text and graphics clear and readable even at high zoom levels. Automatic tracking ensures the magnified view follows the cursor, typing and mouse movement so users can navigate documents, websites and applications efficiently.
In addition to visual magnification, SuperNova offers a wide range of accessibility tools to support productivity and independence. Built-in speech features can read text aloud as users type or navigate, while screen-reader capabilities provide detailed feedback on formatting, links, form fields and other on-screen elements. Customisable colour schemes, pointer enhancements and focus highlights improve visual clarity and reduce glare for comfortable reading. The software also supports braille displays for tactile output and includes tools such as document scanning and integrated accessible reading applications, making it suitable for professional, educational and home environments.

Individual User Editions
For individual users, there are four versions of SuperNova. All SuperNova licences are single-user, lifetime licences and include 1 Year SMA (Service Management Agreement) as standard.
- SuperNova Magnifier is screen magnification recommended for people with low vision. Its True Fonts technology means digital content, words and images are clear, sharp and easy to read on screen, even at the highest magnification levels.
- SuperNova Magnifier and Speech offers additional accessibility for people with vision impairments. If you have deteriorating sight, or sight that fluctuates, use screen magnification to enlarge the words on screen, and read with speech when needed.
- SuperNova Magnifier and ScreenReader offers additional accessibility. Use ScreenReader to read text and information including punctuation, formatting, checkboxes and other content. Perfect for people with deteriorating or fluctuating sight.
- ScreenReader offers fast and reliable screen reading software also supports electronic braille displays and is suitable for people who are blind.
Business / Organisation Editions
For businesses and organisations, there are two versions of SuperNova to choose from. All SuperNova licences are single-user, lifetime licences and include 1 Year SMA (Service Management Agreement) as standard. Professional and Enterprise versions SuperNova include all four editions listed above.
- SuperNova Professional is licensed to your business and operates on a per-user pricing model, allowing you to scale access as needed. It includes all editions of SuperNova, providing a comprehensive accessibility solution in a single package. The software is installed directly onto local devices and is managed through device activations for straightforward control. Deployment is streamlined through MSI distribution across local networks, making it easy for IT teams to manage installations. Additionally, it features SAP® Certified magnification, ensuring reliable compatibility with SAP environments.
- SuperNova Enterprise is licensed to your business and offers both perpetual and subscription licensing options for greater flexibility. It can be installed across local, virtual, or remote devices, supporting a wide range of IT infrastructures. The solution includes MSIs for all SuperNova editions, enabling efficient and consistent deployment. It is designed to scale across your entire organisation or estate, with a flexible licensing model that supports unattended installations. SuperNova Enterprise also includes SAP® Certified magnification for seamless use with SAP systems and is verified as Citrix Ready®, ensuring strong performance in virtualised environments.
Software Management Agreements and Software Updates
All SuperNova licences are single-user, lifetime licences and include a 1-Year SMA (Software Management Agreement) as standard. Delivery, Installation and Setup
All software licence keys are delivered securely via email. Back Care Solutions can also provide initial installation and setup for an additional fee, subject to workplace IT access requirements.
NOTE: All software must be installed prior to beginning any training sessions.
Training Options
Back Care Solutions offers comprehensive product training to help you get the most out of the software. As everyone learns at a different pace and in different ways, the recommended training time for each software varies.
Additional training hours can be purchased as needed. You will only be charged for the training time you actually complete. For example, if you purchase 3 hours of training but only use 2 hours, the unused hour will be credited back to you.
