ClaroRead assistive software for the workplace has been developed with a range of features to help with reading and writing at work. The software is ideal for people with neurological and sensual disorders such as dyslexia and visual impairments. People with visual stress or with mental health issues, who need help keeping on top of their workload, may also find this software useful.
For help with reading the software reads any on-screen text as well as scanned books or documents and allows you to listen instead of struggling along. Using high-quality human-sounding speech, the programme reads aloud Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer emails and scanned OCR documents. Text is highlighted so you can follow as it is read out and you can choose highlighting by word, sentence or colour and lots of combinations so you can get the right workflow. Reading is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish and twenty-four other languages with 80 different voices and accents so you can listen to a voice you understand and prefer.
For writing, the word prediction feature suggests words as you type which is great to help with spelling. You can listen back to the text you have written to help identify and correct any mistakes. The speaking spellcheck feature allows you to select a word you want to check and provides alternatives out loud. There is also a dictate button, to use if you also have Dragon Professional.
