About Varier

Varier design and manufacture chairs that move with the body to encourage constant support and movement while you work. Varier have been manufacturing chairs since 1979, making movement an essential element of every chair they produce. The Varier chair range includes recliners, kneeling chairs and sit-stand chairs for use in multiple working environments or the home. Each chair varies posture to improve wellbeing and avoid muscular conditions arising from static seating.

Varier are based in Oslo, Norway and distribute their chairs to over 40 countries including USA, Japan and most of Europe. The original Varier chair was the Variable Balans which is an iconic kneeling chair designed by Peter Opsvik; who also designed the HAG Capisco.
